Sheona Robinson graduated in Masters at Curtin University in 2004 with a double degree in Clinical and Health Psychology as a mature age student.

Sheona worked as a Behaviour Therapist for children with Autism and developmental delays for ten years from 1994 with Murdoch University and the Early Intervention Project. From 2000 to 2004 She worked as a research assistant for various psychological research programs such as the Video conferencing program, Triple PPP parenting program and the Stepping Stones Program through Curtin University, publishing her Masters research dissertation on the efficacy of Video conferencing as a medium for therapy (Rees and Stone, 2005).

Sheona was first registered as a Psychologist in 2003 and gained experience working in the Occupational and Rehabilitation area of Psychology with a large Australia wide private organisation, the ORS Group. Sheona gained significant experience across many sites supervising staff and working with Clients through Workers Compensation, Unemployment, EAP and Rehabilitation. She then moved to the South West in 2005 and began private practice alongside this work in 2007. Since then she has been exclusively in private practice operating from Busselton and Dunsborough. She is a founding member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA) which is a prestigious association linking her with hundreds of other Clinical Psychologists and professional development resources across Australia.

Sheona is experienced in all matters to do with Mental Health including: anxiety, depression,  post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief and loss, childhood trauma, personality disorders, and unhealthy lifestyles. With a special interest in conception, fertility, birth, antenatal and postnatal health and parenting and adjustment issues. She has worked with many prospective parents who are planning children, having difficulties conceiving, are experiencing anxiety about the birth and becoming parents and also particularly the importance of retaining a healthy sense of self after the birthing years and during parenthood.

Sheona accepts adult individual clients from GP referrals and Specialists (Mental Health Treatment Plans (MHTP), Worker’s Compensation claims, Employee Assistance Program referrals, and Open Arms (Defence Veterans and families) referrals. Sheona prides herself on her client centred rapport and therapeutic relationship and works eclectically drawing on many theories and platforms of best practise to tailor her treatment to each individual.
